The Wilderness Trace Story
The name "Wilderness Trace" comes from the trail that Daniel Boone blazed from Virginia, through the Cumberland Gap, and north to the Falls of the Ohio at Louisville in 1775. This trail was used by thousands of early pioneers to cross the dangerous wilderness of the Appalachians. Just as the trail was a pathway to new opportunities and a better life. We view our business as a pathway to helping people move towards a cleaner, more financially stable and energy-independent future.
